your boy got beat last night - and by a clown, which doesn't bode well for any of us - I'm either gonna pull the lever for Mr. Paul or write in Jer's name, probably the latter - gotta turn on the tv now to see if they figured out how to write that 700b check yet.

It appeared to me that there were at least two clowns in the room last night and neither had a firm grip on reality. Mr. Moderator had to ask each several times about their take on this "bailout" plan. Both scared to death to offend any part of any potential constituency...chickenshit politicians. Standing there pointing fingers at each other like fucking baby shit schoolboys. At best, they muddled their way to a draw and trusted their adoring sycophants to declare a "wiener."

I agree re the bailout issue and on some others that they both were evasive and would not answer the question. That said, I think Obama came off as more thoughtful and reasoned than McCain, which I know is perceived by some as weakness and "professorial". Look, I'm not thrilled with either choice but I've made mine for this go round on a whole host of issues. Then again, by the time the 13th rolls around, maybe the boys should open with "Buddy, Can You Spare A Dime"?

"Obama came off as more thoughtful and reasoned than McCain."

Two pigs wearing different shades of lipstick. These idiots continue to operate as if we don't have access to their records...and stand there lying to us as if we were sitting around a campfire telling stories like drinking buddies on a fishing trip. I smell bullshit and it's in stereo.

Greetings Arb, Tell, BD...etal.

yes I wish you ALL would vote Ron Paul. I live in an always Red State with three measly electoral votes. I've voted for third party before. But unlike me, if some of you voted third party you might actually take votes away from McCain.

To me the choice is so clear. How anyone can suggest that McCain came off as anything but old and outdated is beyond me. Wishful thinking that he didn't just get wupped on his ONE thing that he supposedly has going for him.

We've had eight years of the most misguided and blatantly self serving/corrupt "leadership" ( corporate handovers ) in my lifetime. Six of those years with control of all branches of Govt. HOw can people still be voting wishful ideology? I mean, just exactly how much is one party allowed to fuck this Country up before we give the other side their chance to fuck it up?

I keep saying I WILL NOT do this...but I can't resist.

He is completely ancient...I kept thinking it couldn't be true, but he really is living in the past.

To imagine you can take lessons away from Nam is one thing, but to go this far on that heritage is truly sad. How many references can you make to Reagan, Kissinger and the rest?

Like Earl and Arb I am thoroughly disgusted with this process--just like Paul Newman said it in 80 when he went third party...but McCain is really scaring the beejeebers out of me.

fear not, weedhopper. The Rock Star candidate will most likely win. He has the youth vote, most of the paranoid doper vote, the minions looking for a gov handout vote, the illegal vote, La Raza, most voting felons, the minions spoonfed by CNN-MSNBC-ABC-CBC-NBC-PBS, Euro/World Gov-lovin trash, Gays, Bi's, most of the godless, and you'al.
So fear not! The only thing you have to feeyeah is feeyeah itself. After superstar gets voted in you may start to be fearful again...i predict. He'll fuck you with that shit eatin grin o his, give u some lube...praise Alah!

What the hell IS that growth comin out of McPains cheek???
Either way, imo, we're all dooooomed!

yes Rasta, all of us that don't vote your line are all misguided kool aide drinkers right?

you don't seem to have shit to say but insults do you? Could that be because you know there isn't ANYTHING you can say positive about your own agenda? It's proven itself and it sucks. You can't blame the Dems and "libruls" this time can you? You had total control, You can deny it isn't " you" but you voted for the failed ass policies.

to quote Lou Reed:

" They say things are done for the majority
Don't believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear
It's a lot like what my painter friend Donald said to me
"Stick a fork in their ass and turn them over, they're done"

The right wing is making sure we'll all feel the pain of their reign for many years to come. Right now, a vote for anyone but Obama is a vote for another Bushite regime.

Hey, what's the word in Aramaic for God -- you know the language that JESUS spoke?! Give it rest already.

Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah

La La La La La La La
Tin Soldiers And Nixon's Bombing
We're Finally On Our Own

Take up your china doll, take up your china doll,
it's only fractured and just a little nervous from the fall.
La-la-la-la-la-la-la.

The land is green and you make it grow
And you gotta let go you know
You gotta let go you know
You gotta let go you know
Or else you stay

My favorite line of the whole debate was McCain's "You don't say that out loud" - That one made me laugh. At least he didn't add "even though we're all thinking it"

When I heard McCain say "you don't say that out loud!" my mind immediately flashed on the time McCain sang his little "bomb bomb Iran" song..he should listen to his own advice.

My thought exactly. Hasn't he seen Strangelove (hmmm...this always smokes out SDH!)? Would someone explain to him how the concept of deterrence works?

And, the whole historical focus on Reagan of late--he and the chimp "won" the Cold War? Where do these myths come from? Any one having studied/visited the USSR realizes it was crumbling from within long before Ronnie took office...Is it pure correlation? Equally bizarre: Clinton "caused" the budget surplus...

Sorry. Been holding back so long on the politics front. Thank you for your support in seeing me thru this.

Two more clowns up this week Mr Earl. I am really looking forward to this one...

I have to admit that if Paul were on the ballot the "old school" connection might make me pull the lever (and I'm sure he's opposed the bailout)(from wikpedia)

Military service and medical career

Paul considered becoming a Lutheran minister like two of his brothers.[14] Instead he decided to pursue a medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, attaining it in 1961. He interned and began residency training, both in internal medicine, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit (1961–1962)

But lets be clear on one thing, Obama is not "my boy" [not touching that phrase]:
